Glas in Hood

Woensel West is a low-income neighborhood of Eindhoven.
Here, Trudo, a social housing company builds lots of new houses.
Problem is that these fresh looking houses create a visual fracture in Eindhoven landscape. Therefore, the people living there can’t relate visually to the rest of the city. And the strangers to this neighborhood won’t be appealed to go there as they don’t recognize anything familiar.
Access to local culture is essential to feel part of a local community.
To give this area a connexion to the rest of the city, I developed a stained glass house number, this craft being omnipresent in the traditional buildings of the city.
